    This piece deserves a little write up. I have for sale a beautiful Remington M722 C BDL .222 caliber,26 inch barrel,1-14 twist,jewel bolt,4 round internal magazine,lands and grooves bright and shiny DOM June of 1950 low serial number,1st year of the m722 in caliber .222 first few months of the first production run, the 722 went into production 1948,in 1950 Mike Walker and Homer W Young 2 engineers at Remington developed the legendary caliber .222 which turned the world of target,varmint and bench rest shooting on its head,the second commercially developed cartridge of its caliber with a rimless case,this also is the parent cartridge to the .223. Walker took one of the earliest SN #'s to the Johnstown NY gun club in 1950 with outstanding results,that started the ball rolling,by the early 1970's this was the caliber of choice for BR shooting, in 1973 Mac McMillan used a modified Sako L46 and shot a record 100 yard 5 shot group 0.009 measured by a 60x microscope for verification,this record stood for 40 years and became a legend,finally beat by Mike Stinnett with a 30 Stewart wildcat round based on the 6.5 Grendal. This 74 year old rifle shoots great,beautiful 16 oz trigger,all original and in excellent condition,wood is close to perfect,metal is flawless,stock is tiger stripe black walnut.original finish,Bosh and Lomb scope in VGC good glass with European reticle narrow cone post with horizontal reticle,this was mounted and stock inletted for the scope at factory, this is a premium grade stock, Remington Archives states these were Fajen stocks,with black fore end tip,hand checkering,Monte Carlo Stock with nice pistol grip, a nice piece of Remington history,have only seen 2 others in this configuration,have a pic of one.Includes trigger shoe,extra bolt extractor, 60 rounds of commercial NATO Western Cartridge Company "84",hard case,instructions on adjustment on the scope V-Mount,and Remington Society of America write up. contact Roy @ 850 7779632
