Remington 40X Target Rifle. SOLD

Remington 40X .22 LR target rifle. It’s got some issues. Looks like at some point there was a peep sight on it but just the base remains. Has some rust spots and the rear sight is missing.
I’m not familiar with these guns and maybe I’m doing something wrong but I can’t budge the bolt or the safety.
Just taking a guess I would say this was manufactured in the 1950s.
I’m selling this for a widowed neighbor.
Given the issues I’m only asking $350 for this one.
