Rebarrel Enfield no5

Bought a pretty beat up Enfield no5
Someone decided to try to sporterize it.

Barrel doesn't look bad, I was thinking it would be cool to rebarrel it, maybe a different cartridge? Something like 30-30 or 45-70. Old black powder cartridges like that maybe.
Is it possible? Any gunsmith around that could possible do it?

Those Navy arms Enfield 45/70 conversations are a cool rifle. They look very intimidating. My only problem with them is some of the magazines had issues feeding 2 & 3 rounds. But a wonderful shooting rifle.

Keep an eye on Gunbroker they turn up from time to time. Gibbs was going to make some more just a few years ago.. But I think the raising price of Enfields put a stop to that plan.
