    I saw this for sale on some classifieds.
    Wouldn’t the addition of this stock make this gun a Class 3 item?
    Just curious.

    It's legal for now.
    There is always a threat that braces will be marked something different. I'm about to put a kit on my tac 14

    As stated,legal .... for now.
    BUT - -> extremely fuglie.

    Handles like sheet (Mike's had one set up like this) Gotta buy the kit(s) then put everything together.
    Just plain defeats the purpose of buying the 14" guns.
    Personally,I have no desire to assemble one of these. I am happy with my setup. --- SAWMAN

    One thing to note. If you just install the adapter and pistol grip(no buffer tube and brace) then it most likely is shorter than 26” which would make it a NFA item. Of course I am not a lawyer and don’t own any NFA items so do your own research.

    You would be correct. The birds grip is what makes it legal as it is. Whole brace kit must be used.

    I love the wood tac's.
    A tac with a brace is still shorter than an 18" with a stock. Depends how you look at it.

    ^---- This. Since the AR-"buffer tube adapter" can be installed with the grip and No Tube, and the firearm can be used as such, then the receiver tube is not essential for function.

    A BATFECES agent with a stick up his backside could make an arguement that the brace is irrelevant and it doesn't contribute to OAL. Since the firearm is usable with just the grip, the OAL measurement stops at the rearmost portion of either the grip or the adapter. Therefore, it falls below the 26" OAL requirement:

    "Needs a stamp".

    Of course, we're talking about how the whimsy-of-the-week BATFECES might interpret an Unconstitutional law. They change their opinion more often than a teenager.

    Thanks for all the replies. I know nothing about those type weapons but wouldn’t mind buying a 20 gauge if the price drops back down.
