Q.D. Ring height for Burris 2-7X32mm on Ruger Scout Rifle.

Quick Detachable Ring Height for mounting Burris 2-7 X 32 mm Scout Scope on Ruger Scout Rifle. Warne low (0.750) or Warne med ( 0.875) ? Every thing I read says that 32 mm scope should work with Low Rings, but has anyone mounted a 32 mm Scope on a Scout Rifle with Low Rings? Searching for experience, but all input is Welcome. Are QD Mounting heights different than a regular set of Badger Rings?

Ruger Scout Rifle Model 6829, Burris Scout Scope Item #200261, Warne MAXIMA QD Scope Rings 200LM (0.705). The Low Mount Warne 1 inch rings will work, but take heed of the placement of the Ocular Lens. At this height the Ocular Lens/Tube can be no farther forward than even with the end of the rifles ejection port. As any further forward mounting will allow the Ocular Lens/Tube to strike on the picatinny rail. In this position there is 9 1/2 inches between Ocular Lens Cap and the rear end of the rifles bolt when at it's most rearward travel. Iron sights will NOT cowitness even with the scope mounted this low. At the Low Mount Height cheek weld is strong enough not to require a Comb Riser. So Yes the Low Mount Warne 1 inch rings will work, BUT!

BOTTOM LINE: Order the Meduim Height 1 inch Warne QD rings when mounting the Burris 2-7X32mm Scout Scope on the Ruger Scout Rifle, this shall ensure that more/full scope travel adjustment clears the Forward Picatinny Rail. (note a Comb Riser Kit may need to be installed to ensure proper cheek weld. YMMV)
