Forward sidecharger. Flipped the ch over to the right for my left hand shooting. Had to get a magwell adapter. (GLOCK)Silvan Arms. Well made. Used PSA lower and 308 carbine spring and H3 buffer. No lrbho so no worries about shearing off the bolt stop due to over travel. Might need a heavier buffer. This one is only 5.3ish oz. Fm reccomends a 6.5 oz. Ronin red dot and sb pdw brace. Houge grip.
Function check, rounds feed and eject. Hope to shoot tomm or may sell unfired, don't know yet.
I like the trigger mag release on the magwel adaptor, pull trigger, grab drop mag, swap. Non reciprocating ch. No forward assist or port door, don't need em.

I'd be a little nervous of accidentally pulling the mag release trigger and dropping the mag, rushing around a blind corner or throwing it over a shooting house window sill or popping up over the back of furniture or over the top of a log field fortification, etc. I like it being ambidextrous, though. Maybe a bolt-on flared magwell could act as a trigger guard? The $22 upgrade from FAB Defense could be a lifesaver. For only $22, I wouldn't feel bad about taking a dremel to it and opening up the sides a little to facilitate getting to the trigger sideways. As long as the front of that trigger has a guard to stop any backwards pressure dropping the mag, it would work. If it's stupid but works, it's not stupid... it's special. As in "Special" W.A.T.

Granted I would have liked it to be like the AK, but it's protected someehat by the mag well. I like all my toys to be ambi, just me. This one needs the ambi safety or maybe a push button safety.

How does that stay in the magwell? And what happens if you accidentally push the regular mag release for the 223 AR mag?

There is a set screw in the top that has to be removed with the upper off it's pins. All sandwiches in. I do believe you have to press the mag release to get the adapter out, even after the set screw is gone. It's been a while since I've messed with them.

Yep! Locks in tight. Mags are a little tight, need to play with it a bit. Better that than flopping around.

I'm gonna run it with the 8oz and see. TJ sent me a link to the FM premium lower and it has an 8oz. W 308 carbine spring.

Id imagine this heavy of a buffer with a 308 spring would hardly have any recoil.
And cycle anything. I think that's the point though.

Maybe, low recoil is always a plus. Better 2nd,3rd,4th shot quick on target always helps. Didn't really need another 9mm pistol, the sub2000 pretty much covers any "need" it's just fun to build things.

20 years from now when the population and the demand have doubled and legal transferrable 9mm semiauto pistols are $5,000 every one of us will be kicking ourselves for not putting back 100 of them to fund our retirements

See you in December. Y'all got guns on the boat you can shoot in the water? I always think about the time bandit (deadliest catch). Y'all should have an arsenal with all those pirates out there.
