Maybe look at the S&W M&P 22, it has a manual safety, I have one.

My father is retired navy and shops the NEX. Is that like BX?

The Navy facilities do not have guns,ammo,reloading supplies,optics,and nothing else shooting related.
Lately I have seen the smallish gun cleaning kits for carry in your pack bag.
THAT'S IT.

But its open to all branches correct? Or do you have to be usaf?

Any branch of the military and shop at any other branches exchange/PX/BX commissary,gas station,or any other sales facility on any base.

Yep...Air Force calls it BX, Marines call it PX. Same same.
