I'm looking to get into hog hunting here near Panama City Beach and haven't gotten any leads on people with private land that have hog problems or people who have spotted them in the local wildlife management areas. I went to Point Washington State Park to scope it out and look for signs and ended up talking to a park ranger who told me they haven't seen any hogs since he has worked there.

I'm not sure who to talk to, but there are a lot of hogs up in Ebro. Maybe go check out Pine Log.

Thats great information, thanks! I recently moved to the area and I've been reading through the regulations for the local public lands. Do you know if it's required to have a quota permit to hunt there right now? The pdfs make it alittle confusing. It says that you need one to hunt in general gun season, but not for small game season which seem to overlap.

As I understand it, on private property it's legal 24/7/365. Bait em, trap em, choot em. Only illegal thing is to trap them and move them while alive (ie they don't want you to relocate them).

Obviously you'd need the land owners permission or a lease.
