I have one of the new Agency / Sage Dynamic comps; just got it out for the first run and it definitely works.

It would choke on 115gr initially, which from others feedback is pretty normal - I've put about 150 x 124gr through it and it eats 115gr very well now, just a couple of issues (could be this PMC ammo is really weak too) - I think in another 100 rds or so it'll be good to go with everything.

It's hammered 124/147gr ammo without fail from the start however, and it does help in recoil mitigation.

Nice yeah agency stuff is good stuff. I like the radian more due to how small it is making a 19 right at a 17 length and for some people in other places where threaded barrels are not allowed this is the perfect setup compared to other non threaded options out, personally after using the ramjet I wouldn’t go back to my killer innovations velocity barrel/comp. Radian bought out a company who made a slide called the afterburner which was slide and barrel cut for internal compensation. Yes others have Done kind of the same concept like zp with there ported slides and say a coffin cut with holes in the top of the barrel. Look into arc division slides there compensated models are very nice but they are on the high dollar end of Glock slides.

How about this gen 5 17 with integrated comp with the radian weapons afterburner and ramjet. Yes it actually functions and is very flat great shooter.

To be quite honest I have adapted to the kick my handguns have at close range and don’t see the necessity of a compenator at defensive ranges
    Just mho
I respectfully would say that recoil isn’t the issue. As long as you have a good comp and have tuned properly, having a viable defensive caliber (9mm+) recoil like a 22 would be ideal. Comps will get you part of the way there. It’s not “necessary”, but if you could, why not? All other things being equal? Follow up shots are faster, and the myth of the night blindness because of the flash isn’t true (I’ve tested it extensively and it wasn’t any more that uncompensated), and target ID is a necessity now so a white light illumination just about illiminates that argument anyway. You don’t have to have a comp, but I don’t think that having one makes you a bad person or anything from a defensive standpoint

What’s some of y’all’s thoughts on this subject I hear alot of mixed things and I’d like to hear some of y’all’s. I’ve run a few here and there but some are just to far out there. If y’all are like me and have been watching and waiting for the radian afterburner and ramjet combo to drop its officially in stock but probably not for long. Claims 44% recoil reduction. But the price tag is hefty for sure.
I hated my ported barrel G22C

I went a different direction and installed a double captured stainless steel spring and guide rod on both my G19s (gen 4 and 5). Adds just enough weight to the muzzle to reduce recoil flip and help me get back on target.
    Much better

Don't have or use any short barrel Glocks, only 9x19 Glock Model 35. Purposefully ordered Hellcat 9x19 without compensator. Didn't make enough difference to warrant concealment disadvantage. If I can't say anything nice, at least I can mention the conscious choice not to add a compensator.
