When you join a online forum and must have 100 posts before they will allow you to list something for sale....as if saying "cool", "great idea", "I have an X just like your, and I love it, GLWS" for 100 times is going to make you a stand up citizen; trustworthy enough to handle someone eases money to send them something you put on the forum for sale...really...?

My biggest pet peeves is people not recognizing my American rights.

If I want to wear sunglasses indoors, I really don't care how anyone else feels about it. I really don't understand how a person could have this as a pet peeve, I mean, you should be minding your own business anyways. If I wear flip flops, and that offends someone, I apologize. I wore combat boots for many years, I enjoy letting my feet be free. If I don't go to church on Sunday's, I shouldn't be judged by others.

Hell, I did 2 combat deployments, I'll wear whatever I want, eat whatever I want, go wherever I'm in the mood for, vote for whoever.

I want to be able to call mediacom to complain about my constant internet outages and not have to speak to some Indian dude overseas. Give me an American on the other side of the line.

With all the money they save from outsourcing their jobs, they could at least laid better cable lines.

And no, I don't want to add a stupid phone line, I don't want random Indian dudes cold calling my ass in the middle of the night so they can tell me how I can get more money.

Forgot to mention plumbing. I effing hate plumbing. There's not a do it yourself job that I haven't tackled and I worked commercial and residential construction and loved every bit of it.

    Except plumbing.

I don't mind PVC work but anything with a screw on connection always gives me grief, especially anything old and corroded.

I came home from work the other night and noticed a wet spot on the concrete next to the kitchen door off the laundry room. I've seen water puddle there because it's a bit low but it hadn't rained in days. Got suspicious and looked in the back of the laundry room by the water heater. Floor was wet, oak trim damp but it was dry inside the WH pan. Then went outside to the front of the house and noticed the mulch in the flower bed was damp under the hose bib directly on the other side of the WH and one of my plants had been growing at a faster rate than the rest. I thought the connection was leaking at the hose bib inside the wall. Well, no way to find it without taking out the sheet rock and to do that disconnect the WH, drain and move. To do that it meant taking about 500 things off shelves, taking the shelves out and storing that crap elsewhere (note to self: tell wife we don't need 7 crock pots, 40 mixing bowls, industrial kitchen utensils from the failed restaurant and bags of things like those plastic ketchup and mustard dispensers, on and on and on). Finally after an hour and a half I get to the wall. I start low, ripping out sheet rock as I go up till finally about 5' high I find that water heater outline line goes up and atops, capped off past the last connection. Only way to pinpoint the leak was to reconnect the water heater and pressurize the system. The cap at the end of the stub had a pinhole but that thing was pushing a LOT of water through it. Apparently most of the water was running down the wall and exiting outside into the flower bed so I never saw it. I show it to wife and she replies "Well, that explains why out water bill has been going up every month". Thanks honey.

So, I have plenty of extra tubing to play with on the dead run so I cut below the cap and head to my shop. Sure enough I have a spare 3/4" cap so no need for a Home Depot run. I grab it, my plumbing solder, flux, torch and Emory cloth thinking I'm golden. Now, I'm a damned good solderer, plumbing and electeonic, so this should be a breeze. Clean the shit out of the pipe, cap, flux it, slap the cap on and heat it up. Solder flows smoothly. I get done, pressurize the system and it's leaking. I desolder, check everything and repeat. Still leaks. So screw it, I go to HD, buy a couple of new caps, fresh solder and flux because I'm not taking any chances. I get home, do it again. Leaks. Get pissed, it's now 7:00 PM. So, I call a buddy for a second opinion. He comes over, we start again, same result, tiny leak. Finally I think it through. Best I can tell and guess is that the way I had the water shut off it allowed water to stand in the vertical pipe about a foot below the repair. I suspect that when I heated the connection the air in the pipe expanded and created positive pressure, blowing the solder away from the joint instead of sucking it in.

So, shut it back off and pretty much drain the whole damned house and system. Finally fourth time it took. Now I gotta go buy sheet rock and insulation. This time I'm going to make the rock removable with screws in case I have to go back in.

    I hate plumbing.

Probably petty but, people who have a Bama or Auburn tag, then feel the need to put on the plate that they're for the team. "BWH4UA." You paid an extra $50 for the damn tag. We know who you pull for!!

I saw this thread a while back and couldn't really think of anything. I'm pretty laid back most of the time and just don't let things bother me. But once in a while something will get me. Today was that day and it was Hipster assholes in their skinny jeans, converse sneakers, too tight shirts, and mangey beards. Took my dog's big beds to a laundry mat to wash in the oversized washer and had to endure two hipster assholes talking entirely to loud and laughing while taking selfies that were evidently being uploaded to social media.

Girly hipster ass men. Absolutely useless. I guarantee those dudes couldn't change a tire, cut down a tree, or do much of anything that didn't involve their Iphone and just acting like an asshole in general. Everything about them annoyed the piss out of me and had me daydreaming about bouncing their heads off the washing machine they were taking their selfie in front of while obnoxiously giggling like 13 year old girls and disturbing my peace. I've been seeing lots more of them since moving to East Hill and think my outrage at them in general has been building up!
