So saw sawmans rifle that oneshot had done his magic on and of course got thinking, got in touch with him and he worked his magic.

What started as a 22 inch heavy barrel is now 16.5 ( which with a handi rifle is incredibly, well handy)
Honestly wish I'd taken before pics but I forgot to.

ALMOST perfection ---> what dream did you have that made you choose a huge, glommie scope for that gun ??
Try a Leupold 1-4X24 or 2-7X33 at the biggest. Both in the "turkey/ML" configuration. Had the 1-4 on several of these guns. Used to get them at Cabela's for right at $200. BUT with rebate <2C$'s.
You went short/light with the gun (BTW - -> GREAT CHOICE) now go with the scope also. ---- SAWMAN

That was the original scope I had on it, hadn't had a chance to pick up a new scope for it.
And even short I can tell you this rifle isn't exactly light even without the scope.

I have a Leupold 8.5-25X50 that I will sell you for the 16" 444. Would be a perfect combo.
25X would be perfect for them 600yd elk in eastern Mass. --- SAWMAN

If I ever get somewhere where I'm shooting at 600 yards I doubt I'd see the animal in time to get the rifle up.
