Would love to build one of these after doing the proper paperwork from ATF.
In the proper backpack, with the complete stock in view,it should be a thing of beauty.
Actually you could most likely wear it in a chest

That would definitely be interesting. I would like something similar, but more of a coach gun with external hammers....not as aerodynamic and snag free of course

Black powder has never got my interest.
So many downsides to using/shooting it.

Remembering - -> length of bbl has nothing to do with the shot pattern.
Only the choke at the end of the bbl and/or forceing cone(s).
Gotta talk to JJ about the possibility of an added "shot devirter". Would be an interesting project and experimentation.
There would have to be something either in the bbl or screwed onto the bbl to deform the pellets/shot string. --- SAWMAN

    Wear your bowling brace ......
I'm sure (like with the Judge and Governor shotgun pistols) manufacturers will produce "defensive" loads that when you actually read the box you'll see are lower velocity than normal

For those non believers. Barrel length makes no difference in pattern. It does however make a huge difference in maneuvering the gun when shooting a flying target. Barrel length provides a better swinging gun and more sight plane.

Obviously the gun Bill (Sawman) is posting about is not intended for shooting quail.:)

Betcha that Rossi would not be too bad shooting the Aguila Mini Shells.
If I had that gun,I would reload my own. ---- SAWMAN

SAWMAN....I've thought about one like the third picture in your original post. That would be so cool. Am I correct in that only a few brands don't have "hardware" going down in to the stock?

I believe that I would prefer a shoulder stock, even if the LOP was rather short.
These guns have no action to speak of so the OAL would be rather short anyway. (My Rem TAC-14 is 26 inches.)
I could see the gun getting down to 16 - 18 inches or so. It would still fit nicely into a small backpack with the end of the stock sticking out. And also in this configuration I would not be tempted to "conceal" it.
I most likely would have started a project similar to this already, until I realized the "hoops" that ATF made you jump through for a SBS. ---- SAWMAN
