Belle you didn't look at the link did you, the first part of the link for the gif is naughtybits. That there was enough to let me know I'll be waiting until I get home to open, especially after having to delete all my work offline content after opening that Dutch commercial, I'm a little more careful now with things in this thread!

Well on my phone all I do is click the gif photo and bam is starts but I did. I've definitely discovered to never do that in public again. Got one guys attention that was creeping. Hahah.

Viking if you work for the govt they are likely tracking web access as well. Generally a single on and off a site is ignored - persistent access becomes a problem.

We had a site in Denver with two guys accessing child porn - to put their hands on the keyboards we put a camera in the ceiling to record them and what they were accessing. They went to jail. At another location we had a guy that was addicted to adult sites - got a written reprimand, followed by a suspension, followed by termination - could not stop even though he knew he was being monitored....now days we have a subscription service that blocks access to any site or category of site that would embarrass the govt if discovered and still record the attempt.

Not every org works the same way - Just FYI

Famine I work in IT so I'm very aware of how things work but thanks for the additional information on what you've witnessed. I'm not on a government network, it's a private circuit maintained by my company and normally things like that are blocked by the corporate firewall in Orlando, not quite sure why it wasn't but not too worried about it. It wasn't porn or even worse child porn which are the big no no's.

How does the monitoring work w everyone carrying their own PDA a phone, tablet or notebook, cannot you use those to see anything and not your gooberment computer and their wifi?

If you are going directly to the Internet - no problem with doing it on your equipment. If you are using a Govt network you consent to monitoring prior to access. Corporate networks are all different in how they monitor and control.

No cell phones or wireless devices allowed in the building where I work unless wireless features are disabled and then they are only allowed for training.
