Watch Gunbroker and you can sometime get one for less than that. Oak Ridge had one several weeks ago for $1799. If you buy from them they also throw in 1 month unlimited range use. Trouble is where you gonna get .38 or .357 (at least at a reasonable price) if ya don't already have a stash.

If I stumbled upon one for MSRP ($1,499) or below I would probably pull out my wallet but if I don’t, it’s not something I gotta have.
    But thanks for posting.

There was a recall on some of these (Look on U-Tube) Even Hickock Had one fail while doing a demo.
The cylender stopped turning when the trigger was pulled? And some failure to fire due to weak hammer springs.
Colt said this was in the first batch sold and has since said they have fixed the problem.
The new one's look nice and feel good but are no where near the quality of the old Original Ones.

I've been watching these and I haven't seen one for under $1999 on GB or otherwise. Most Pythons after SN12000 are good to go, I bought one in Dec that was in the 24Ks. You want to look for a triangle under the crane arm, that indicates it has the fixes/upgrades done. I'm looking for another for my step father and I keep seeing online stores releasing one at a time for $2100 or $2300 and listing it as "1 in stock" or "last one". And when you check on it a few days after it's sold out, then next email they have one more. I believe it's a game and every news email I'm subscribed to seems to be doing this with Pythons. I was able to get my one for $1800, which was the cheapest I'd seen any in a very long time so I jumped on it. And I just happened to come across that from an link a buddy sent me.

Oak ridge gun range has both 4.25" and 6" in stock for MSRP (or very close to it). I think they even have the 6" version priced lower than the 4.25".

If I get one, it’ll be the 4.25” but I refuse to pay over MSRP.
I hear they are coming back out with the Anaconda for about the same price.

I heard that as well. There was an Anaconda at Grey Man in Milton as of last Saturday (3/20). Not sure if it was an older one or newer one though. Didn't look at the price, personally I prefer Smiths when it comes to wheelies.

Hurlburt Field had a Colt King Cobra 3” not too long ago for $895, not sure how close that is/was to MSRP.

Gulf Coast Guns had a couple of King Cobras in that price range. They looked nice.
I was just looking at GB. Most of the new Pythons were $1800 - $2,000 but a few had a buy-it-now of less than MSRP, one was $1200. Scams on GB?

Yeh, I just looked at the ones with a buy-it-now of $1450. No reviews.
This was the review for the $1200 one.
    Scams everywhere.

The old Pythons were pretty much Handmade if I remember correctly.
    Much higher quality weapon.
