Got this yesterday. It is the carbon fiber model.
To say this is overbulit would be an under statement. Heavy, extremely rigid, easy to set up the pan, tilt, and two piece legs.
It will easily hold my almost 10 pound night/thermal hunter (18" 6.8SPCII).
The jaws open to 2.8 inches so it will accommodate most any gun.
This will come with me if I choose not to use my buggy because of area, location,or possibility of rain. Just grab my chair,Bog Pod and gun. Would be useful in a so-so engineered shooting house.

Holds gun in position. A quick adjustment with the oversized star wheels will allow pan and tilt controling the desired friction.
Will post my assessment after several uses. --- SAWMAN

Miss that guys posts on here. Won’t ever be another Sawman. Hate I didn’t get to meet him
The loss is even more heartfelt once you have served with Him, but that's just my opinion. Perhaps there are other forum members that could speak up that He invited here? Would hope that they also accepted his invitation. JMHO.

I am young enough to be his grand kid so can’t claim to have served with him. Did get a spotting scope from him that I still have. He had it delivered to me by someone else back when we all were still on the PFF before GCGF existed.
