I was wondering why you sold the Bokers, wish I had been fast enough to grab one. I do like microtech and spyderco better but the Boker seemed good for $$

They were definately great for the money. Solid lockup, fast fire. Easy to sharpen and retained the edge great.
Check out BLADE HQ. I believe they are having a sale on them. --- SAWMAN

    Update on my MT Hawk.
It has been deployed about 125 times during training.
Dropped it about 20 times on a carpeted floor.
Has never cut anything but me .... 4 times. And my training pardner once.
Spring clip is still super strong. Action is strong and quick for such a massive blade.
No rust or discoloration. I keep a "wipe on wipe off" coating of Break Free CLP on the blade and plunge locking system.
No screws have started to loosen.
MT makes a great product. --- SAWMAN

Think about carrying a combat blade that you can "palm" when there is a possible threat, then fully deploy as the threat level increases.
My blade has come out many times over the last several years. Example- -> if I see a possible threat from a dog,it is out, "palmed" with my thumb on the fire button. As the threat level decreases .... finger off button .... blade in closed fist ... and back in pocket.
My next MT will be a Combat Troodon, partially serrated.
I also carry a small auto to do the "normal" cutting stuff. It is a $70 Kershaw karambit blade.
Been a great little blade. ---- SAWMAN

    Pic added re. the above^^.
The smaller blade also acts as my "fidget tool". I hold it in my hand and spin it,roll it,flip it,etc.,seemingly without anyone knowing that it actually is. (IT IS NEVER DEPLOYED IN PUBLIC unless needed to cut tape, string,or different packageing.)
When deployed in public,I always do it concealed. Even a small blade snapping open with authority tends to scare people ---- SAWMAN

The UTX 85 is my preference for size. I like the heft of the Ultratech, but the 85 fits in my hand better. :)

Aside from the MT LUDT the Benchmade Auto Mini-Reflex gets the nod

I hate to say it, but I do kind of like the attention these blades get when they snap open in public

Most likely the same attention you would get if you suddenly presented your EDC pistol then immediately reholstered. Or if I whipped out my ASP,extended it,then banged it on the wall to retract/collapse it.
I strongly believe in - - -> no added/extra attention. Just a normal everyday citizen here. Leave me alone and I will do likewise. --- SAWMAN

To each his own…although I don’t agree. Definitely an apples to oranges comparison as my blade has many more reasons to be be deployed than my firearm. I have used my auto knives for everyday tasks and have found most of the attention to be positive, in the way of starting conversations with like minded individuals and comparing EDC blades…in that way I have met some very cool people..

Looking for a Combat Troodon (double edge) now but none available. MT makes a damn fine product. ----- SAWMAN
