Bought this puppy back in September. Had the rifle version and wanted a pistol to suppress. Well this new run is an entirely new receiver. The older rifle version cap doesn't fit. Gsg wouldn't go on. Had an airsoft piece to try, no go. HK said in October they don't make anything yet. Well I ordered a mp5 brace and whittled on it with a Dremel till it fit.
Still no go. Pin hole is 1/4 off and a 1/4 up. Had it welded up then located the pin and drilled a new hole. Good thing I have friends in low places. Need to splash some paint on it and mount the brace. This thing is going to be fun.

custom Smith manufacturing has a 3D printed adapter with pic rail out now. Kinda nice other than it's real boxy. Doesn't fit the curves of the mp5 imo.

Nice. Gotta admire that ingenuity. Much more than driving a roll pin out gets me nervous. It's not that I can't do it, I just never seem to have the "right" tool at the "right" time.

That is impressive. I’ve been in the same boat because I love the way MP5 22lr pistol looks and wanted it for my range plinker but lack the availability of brace to make it look right.

I couldn't take it so I did something about it, lol. Hope to get to shoot it tomorrow. Probably be my new favorite toy and save my 9mm for when I need it.

I think you're in the wrong thread. Scoop that one up at 400. Good deal.

Shot about 100rds down it today and it was almost failure free for a new semi auto 22. Had a few hang ups when dropping the bolt on a fresh mag. No failures otherwise.
Zero recoil. Pretty accurate. Identical to my PTR just no big bang.
