Gaetz is 38 years old. So all 18 "things have been around him since" he was 13-14 years old? Most if not all 18 things are associated with adult behavior. It's nothing so serious that left him with a criminal record or kept him from becoming an attorney. Don't many (by many I mean most) teens have some "issues" in their lives growing up? I know I did. Isn't that the ideal and intended learning environment before adulthood? Do I feel regret because I acted immature? NO, I was immature. Would I make the same mistakes today? With the hindsight and wisdom that age brings, I hope not. As for Gaetz being "no" saint. Sainthood is not the trait I look for in a good politician. The trait I most often look for is when they get knocked down do they get up again with alacrity? Trump was married three times. He went bankrupt at least twice. But he is successful by any measurement in our society. Why? Because there was no and is no quit in his DNA. I believe the drive-by media was particularly jealous of this trait Trump has. They, the drive-bys, hollywood, acadimia, pelosi, ya da, ya da, ya da aren't successful to the extent Trump is in several disciplines much less their chosen one. There is no way of knowing whether Matt Gaetz would have been a successful politician if he had not "grown up outside of a political family." That ship has sailed. And there is no do over's in life. Gaetz hasn't said anything incriminating. He's an attorney for Heavens sake. Has he done dumb things in his life? Probably. Is he stupid enough to point his own finger at himself? Gosh, I hope not. In my rich and fruitful life I have seriously dated more than once without regret. I'm not going to dwell on something that I have no possible way to correct or change. My current life is still filled with more challenge than I can successfully handle. No amount of time, no amount of I'm sorry, nothing can change the past. Maybe I haven't found "the one" yet. As a lyric from another current country song says "there wouldn't be any me and you if it weren't for the almost maybe's." Again, dating is a learning experience. Without the ups and downs how would you tell the difference when "the one" comes along? Tucker Carlson said something like the Gaetz interview was the "weirdest" he has ever had. Well, I doubt that, but moving on. My take on Tucker's reaction to the Gaetz interview is I think Tucker was caught flat footed when Gaetz brought up Tucker's alleged past. So saying it was weird is how Tucker dealt with his past rearing it's ugly head again. A good interviewer and politician must be fast on their feet. Leave no dead air in an interview.
