Marlin 336 30-30 *Perry*

Hi there, I had a bit of an older post with this rifle but it’s gone since yesterday. So here it is. Has some surface rust but the barrel and chamber is clear and clear with not rust or pitting. It’s an old rifle that runs like a champ.

Asking $300 and open to the possibility of trades.

Sure is. It could very easily be your cross bolt safety.

Forgot to mention this comes with roughly 70 rounds, mostly nosler and hornady.

Marlin started screwing up an excellent rifle by adding the cross bolt safety in 1983 or 1984 according to Marlin Owners Forum

If I’m reading the serial number correctly it was made in 85. I could be wrong.

Crossbolt safeties are easily removed.....just saying

I don’t have to remove a crossbolt as mine don’t have a crossbolt safety just the quarter cock safety they came with in the 70’s

For those that don't know...you can easily install a Safety Delete which replaces it with a Saddle Ring Mount.
Giving you that Old West look, also kinda handy for keeping it in a scabbard...

Yep, it’s a long drive from Pensacola. But then there are folks from all over on the forum, not everyone lives around Pensacola.

What you talking about Willis? If shooting lefty, your face would be on right side of receiver. The saddle ring is on the left as shown in the pic. I saved the company as I like it, and would use one even as a righty.

This is tempting me as a project gun....just saying in case someone is on the fence about snagging it. LOL
