715 - Manchin-Toomey Amendment on Background Checks - Yays - 54 , Nays - 46 with 60 Yays required to pass, so it does not pass.

Still have the AWB, Mag size, and CCW Reciprocity to go.

719 -Cornyn (R-TX) Amendment on CCW Reciprocity - Yays - 57, Nays - 43 with 60 Yays required to pass, so it does not pass.

Diane Feinstein just lost it....priceless!! Now they are all getting fired up.


711 - Diane Fienstine's (D-CA) AWB - Yays - 40, Nays - 60 with 60 Yays required to pass, so it does not pass.

720 - Burr (R-NC) Amendment to require a court order to determine if veterans deemed mentally incompetent can own guns - Yays - 56, Nays - 44 with 60 Yays required to pass, so it does not pass.

714 - Blumenthal (D-CT)/Lautenberg (D_NJ) High Capacity Magazine Ban - Yays - 46, Nays - 54 with 60 Yays required to pass, so it does not pass.

These are the last amendments to be voted on today. Debates will continue tomorrow around 10:00 am, with voting on two more around 12:00 PM EST.

This is great news... but, we can't get lazy! The anti-Second Amendment crowd will continue to try to take away our rights.


Update for 4/18/13: Added three more Amendments

725 – Grassley (R-IA ) Amendment to address gun violence, improve the availability of records to NICS, address mental illness in the criminal justice system, and end straw purchases and trafficking of illegal firearms, and for other purposes. Yays - 52, Nays - 48 with 60 Yays required to pass, so it does not pass.

713 - Leahy (D-VT) Amendment to increase public safety by punishing and deterring firearms trafficking. Yays - 58, Nays - 42 with 60 Yays required to pass, so it does not pass.

717 – Barrasso (R-WY) to withhold 5 percent of Community Oriented Policing Services program Federal funding from States and local governments that release sensitive and confidential information on law-abiding gun owners and victims of domestic violence. Yays - 67, Nays - 3 with 60 Yays required to pass, so it does pass.
