    Personally I won't put anything in a SD role that hasn't went 500 - 1K rounds trouble free . Same with mags ........chokers go in range only pile & if a PITA get new springs / followers if feedlips are salvagable .

    Having worked in a shop that was a Kimber Master Dealer, I would steer FAR away from Kimber. Their quality control got pretty bad about 10 years ago and their customer service stinks on ice. I've owned a couple early 2000s production 1911s from them in 5" and they were decent. Do a little research on the Solo and the CDP 1911s. You will probably choose another mfg. JMHO of course, and I'm a dope... ask anybody who knows me!
