    We went 0-1 yesterday,
pulling the hook on a 60+lb Cobia after a 20 min fight
the Capt's son got to throw & took the eel away from the fish 3 times
before lip hooking her & bringing the rod down to our angler Michelle
& I was trying to get a pic when she surfaced & threw the hook
I can't help but feel that he should have actually free-spooled the fish for a few seconds before setting the hook
    but Hey Jack !
    That's Fishin'

Nice work Hunkyfish! Great looking rod - I sure miss fishing these days; haven't had my boat out in almost 3 years now!
Caregiving for my elderly and very sick Mom is my first priority; my fishing/boating has had to take a backseat for now.
Hope you can get out there and catch a few soon!

    Thx Scrooge,,,
I started the rod business & gave up charter fishing & traveling to the Keys & Bahamas every winter so I could stay closer to home while Dad was battling pancreatic cancer,,,, he's been gone 8yrs now & I miss him more every day.
Here's a pic from one of our last fishing trips on the Gulf,,,
