I am simply acting as a go between

    Your brother has excellent taste.
I’m confused about #1. I had always heard Marlin used 30/30 because they didn’t want 30 WCF (Winchester) on their rifles.
And Winchester switched over to 30/30 in the late 40s.
But your brother has a 1960 Marlin stamped .30 WCF?

your right on both counts .. he does have excellent taste .. his reply:

That’s a good catch on his part, he is right and I knew that also,

    Marlin did not use .30WCF,

that is on the Winchester 94,

I have the guns listed in an Excel sheet and that is how I entered the caliber for the Winchester,

I simply copied it without thinking when I entered it under the Marlins,
