Edit....I can see having the dot, that comp adds to much length, imo but it's still small.

Even with it I'll use protection. I value what I have left. I used to listen to music really loud, now I have to.

Shot today. Tested mags. Red dot mount worked great until it got loose, crap. Damm poly rails. Ran all kinds of ammo. 0 issues. Firing pin seems to be hammering the primers and the brass was very dirty. Shooting at the 30 deg angle worked fine. Did burn my right arm once or twice. The buffer seemed to work great, not very much recoil. Tube pad was nice too, very comfortable. 0 issues with the weapon or the mags, only issue was me pulling the trigger on an empty chamber. Very happy. Now if I can get the mount business straightened out I'll be golden. Accuracy was good. Coffee cup @50. Shot 115,147 brass and steel.

Brass was dirty with all of my SUB2000's too. Loose chamber? The tradeoff is that you can go thousands of rounds without cleaning the chamber before it gets tight, according to an interview I saw with some competition shooters using Sub2000's. One of them said he'd already went like 10,000 rounds between cleanings, which is about the entire life expectancy for one of these
