I am the happy owner of a p11 and a p40 with the p11 second upper. The guns have been shot a couple of hundred rounds per year since 86 and 2000 respectively. The p40 is a custom ported barrel and is still more than I can /want to shoot anymore. The older one broke two hammer pins in 87 and 88 from dry firming but they were both replaced under warranty and they even sent me an extra which I still have, but I think that problem is cured.

Seems I’m always counting the allen screws that’s holding them together and wonder if that’s the best they could figure out when designing the long guns.
Only keltec I’ve ever had was the 380 and it was a decent pocket sized pistol.
Wouldn’t mind one of the 308s but don’t want to pay 1000 for one much less 1500.

The only KelTec that I ever owned was a P3AT/380.
I bought it about 12 years ago and kept it for 4 years or so. I did a extended F&B on the gun. Then shot about 100rds fror break in.
As I recall during break in I had about 4 FTFeed's and no FTE's. These happened in the first 40rds. I quickly took care of this problem by smoothing the underside of the mag feed lips and sharp edges on the fwd lower edges. I had three factory mags and after a little tweaking never had the problem again.
All in all, I believe that most of the Kel Tec offerings are worth the money paid. The CMR and PMR are both on my "to expierance" list. ---- SAWMAN

The rejects from the Wilson Combat factory become the better quality Kel Tec's.
That is why it usually takes longer to get a Wilson Combat to work properly than it does a Kel Tec. --- SAWMAN

    Got a few Keltec's & Grendels. Love 'em :)
Never had any real issues, but don't mind doing
trigger jobs and cleaning up the bolts, either.
Heck, I've had to do that on Ruger's, S&W's, and Marlins,
so it's all in what you are willing to do yourself.
Especially on Bargain Price guns...anything under 1K,
the owner should expect to do a break-in and
    interior tool-mark cleanup/deburring.

In all reality, the OWNER is now the QC specialist.
Most companies are more interested in putting out new products
than they are in QC'ing them...so the things that used to get
caught before they left the warehouse are now in the hands
of the owners...which also means that those who Find an Issue
MUST report those issues to the MFR, so they can be fixed by the MFR,
and other's won't have the same issue next year.

Those reports are why the PMR-30 barrel issue was recalled & replaced
and the issue was permanently fixed, instead of folks having to do
an at-home repair.that was beyond anyone that didn't have a lathe.
I remember those Grendels very cool, always wanted one.

yeah, I am a fan boy. I own and owned many of them. In fact PMR-30 is nearly my favorite pistol. Huge fireball, concussive blast, and no recoil. Great (hair) trigger! Probably 2500+ rounds with only the usual break in issues, oh but I did break a firing pin which was replaced under warranty. Love my KSG, always makes me smile. Had some bad luck with my RDB, it just sits in the safe now. PF-9 is my work truck gun. CMR-30 and CP-33 are super fun too. 5 original Sub-9's (Beretta 92 grip, Glock grip, S&W grip) a Sub-40 (Glock grip) and Sub-2000 in .40 and 9mm (they are so darn handy, you can't just get one) they pack anywhere. But ever since I got my Sig copperhead, they are safe queens now. I should get rid of a few of them. And the market is ripe...traded my P-11, Great package, HEAVY trigger. Im probably forgetting a few others..

    A P32.
Cheap and small...what else to say?

    Ok, how about 100% reliable.

I have other much "nicer " pistols to carry but the P32 seems to short cut them often because it's just so easy to drop it in a pocket and roll.

It's the perfect bathrobe pistol because it's so lite. Mine is equipped with the clip so it never gets lost in a pocket or waistband.

For all of the pistols that I've bought over the years that I thought would be perfect....the P32 really does exceed expectations.

I must be the only one here who has never owned one, heck I have never even fired one that I recall.

Gave the PF9 a try several years ago. It kept blowing out the extractor. After they replaced the barrel and slide, the magazines would pop out upon firing. A new mag catch failed to solve the problem. Asked for and received a full refund including tax and BG check fee.

    Never again.

I own a P-32 and a P-11. I love them both and have been carrying them for over 10 years. I agree that the P-11 is not fun to shoot but it is reliable and accurate. The P-32 is very reliable. I use the extended 10 rd mag with it and the build in belt clip. I like it because it's so easy to conceal. I use critical defense hollow points in it. I can pull it out and put three rounds down range in the blink of an eye.

Yeah, they have produced some crap. I usually don't get one early on. I wait a few years cause they use people as testers. Normally by the time they are on gen 3 bugs are gone. I wonder how the rdb and the other ones are.. Good to hear they made it right $ wise at least.

Here's an interesting one that I haven't seen before. Looks like KelTec is getting into the 5.7 game. Smart move using FN P90 mags and building the gun around it.
