If you are, DO NOT CONTACT JJ (ONESHOT). He will not do anything kinda good, almost good,or halfassed.
He just completed a "challenging" chop and thread job for me. It was on my origional. CVA HUNTER chambered in 450Bushmaster.
He chopped the 25" bbl to 17'ish and threaded for "typical" .452" bore brake. (11/16X24) The OAL of the bbl

    is now 18.250"
Because of this super heavy bbl and contour we had to pick a spot to chop that he could "blend" into the back of the brake.
We did,he did,and WOW !! Came out great.
His considerable old world machinist abilities, coupled with his complete understanding of firearms, and willingness to take on most any project, allowed me to have a perfectly matched bbl to brake combo.
As always - - -> my highest reccomendation for JJ and his ability to turn out a completed finished product that appears to be from the factory.
Thank you sir. Will be contacting you for any future projects. V/R - -> SAWMAN

Looks good to me, I’m thinking about cutting the barrel on a 357 magnum handy rifle and threading it.

I believe tht a Handi will be easier than the CVA.
It is all about chucking the chamber end of the bbl to be able to spin it "true".
Also the thread pattern of the brake you choose.
Suggest you doublecheck this with JJ. Choose your brake wisely. --- SAWMAN

Wow! That is a smooth piece of work. I was mislead by the thread title though. I thought you were looking for someone half-assed. Maybe next time........

JJ is meticulous in his work, and very fairly price. Fun to talk to as well, and if the work needs checking he has a berm just outside to test the work! Really love the work he did for me on a single barrel shotgun that made it a compact woods wondering tool.

I saw this project under construction. He explained and showed me what had to be done and I was amazed. This was not simple. He had to make fixtures to facilitate the job.

    Looks great.

    I saw it too.
What SouthAlabama said and I’ll add this:

What made it a challenge was the bore at muzzle was not centered in barrel.
In other words, it was eccentric so JJ had to come up with a way to make a jig on lathe to cut threads for the muzzle brake.
    Remarkable!!

After watching his work today and him explaining what had to be done for sawmans rifle I'm even more impressed.
