Got some spare non-ethanol gas yesterday and a couple lp cylinders exchanged. Always have extra supplies and frozen goods. Hurricane Charlie in 2004 caught me off guard and I won't let that happen again.

At first it looked like it would go in below Tampa, then above Tampa, then well above Tampa. At this point I think we will be fine here in north Lake county but now my hunt camp and brother's home in Monticello is in the mix.

I took out four trees, filled nine 5-gal. gas cans, filled 31 sand bags, and bought another portable A/C just in case.

If it passes me in cent. FL but causes a power issue up north, I'm ready to ride. I'll be working Wed/Thurs night shift.

Either way I hope it's passed on by late Friday.

GFS has it coming to NW Florida but it’s still to early for a definite track. Tuesday or Wednesday morning we will have a good idea of where it will make landfall. I’ve rode out every storm that hit our area in the last 64 years but if it’s a Cat 4 we’re going elsewhere

One model shows it hitting around Tampa and the other shows it hitting around Destin.

Watch on Monday - if it is going over Cuba then it is likely heading to Tampa and if it is west of Cuba then it is heading more towards us.

Keep an eye on this one as it looks to be a big one when it hits

We always fill up all gas cans (6 five gallon) and all propane cylinders (6 five gallon) every year before hurricane season. Then once season is over use the gas in our vehicles. Always keep 3-4 cases of water and always have plenty of food. It’s all going to get used anyway, better safe than sorry.
