A dirty gun deal is someone trying to sell you stolen goods or a felon trying to buy. You walked on a dirty gun.

The gentleman with the dirty weapon appears to be a good guy. He was at the right place, with the right stuff, at the right time. And until I told him I would not buy dirty weapon, he was very personable. I believe he was embarrassed enough by possessing a weapon that had not been cleaned… Perhaps ever. I see no reason to publicly shame him. I believe the loss of a sale, and being called on it, is enough. And the fact that we’ve made the incident public on this forum, is a lesson for all of us. Let’s just let it go. Like those kindly NCOs told me in my youth, “Keep yourself and your kit clean and pray for war”.
