It looks like my wife will be offered a promotion that will require us moving to Kansas City, Missouri. I was wondering what deer hunting opportunities are near there. Are there any public lands worth hunting? Are there clubs up there that aren't in the multiple of thousands of dollars? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I lived just south of KC for 10 yrs . Don't know much about clubs . Had 80 acres at my disposal to hunt on . Deer are a lot bigger up there then they are in FL

I lived in Joplin when I was a kid. We didn't hunt back then but I know Kansas and Missouri are famous for big bucks.
We were fishermen and that area has some great fishing. We would go over to Grand Lake in Oklahoma and fish for shellcracker, especially in the winter. And there are some old coal strip mines near Pittsburgh Kansas that have incredible bass fishing.
We also camped and fished on Table Rock lake. Back when Branson was a small fishing village.
You will like it up there.
