Hey guys. My buddy is selling off his collection and he offered me his AK, which was built off an American Amory stamped receiver and Polish underfolder parts kit. All the small parts and barrel are #s matching Circle 11 Polish, with the receiver, trigger, and furniture being US made. He built it with his Marine vet buddy and the rivets are alright, action and trigger are sweet and smooth. Any ideas what these sorts of builds go for so I can offer him a fair amount for it?

Its a polish 47 with some US made parts, so pretty run of the mill. The matching serials and barrel help it in price. Id ballpark 1300-1500, but i might be off base.

Wish i had a better answer for you

you would value a home build this high? You put a LOT of faith in Johnny Homebuilder. I'd say with no consistent work history, no reputation, lack of any knowledge of said homebuild, I'd value it as little as the cost of the parts kit itself, maybe less. A poorly manufactured parts kit holds lesser value than an unmolested parts kit as a whole in my opinion, assuming we know little to nothing of the build other than general assembly has been completed.

Best I can do is $350, one lunch, and a twelve pack of your choice.

I would say that is pretty high for a home build. Atlantic Arms has Polish WBP AK-47 Jack on sale right now for $1,199 with really nice wood furniture. Polish AK's are almost as nice as the Yugo's and new Zastava's! :D
