Because she is picky and stubborn as $%&#.

does anyone know of a striker fire auto, mid to full size, in 9mm, with or capable of easily adding a good sized beaver tail, that's not too heavy and doesn't have much recoil?

    I can't think of one.

Anyone know of a beavertail extension mod that fits popular polymer striker fires?

All help appreciated. Need to get her something just so I get an excuse to shoot/buy more.

We've tried all the popular ones and if its not one thing its the other. She wants one perfect one, where as I prefer to have many with different attributes.

M&P9C. If you must go polymer.

Otherwise, the Sig P938 is hard to beat. It's my backup or belt less carry .

Lmao. Way to start a argument.
The best carry piece is the one she can hit the target with irregardless of " attributes".

Doesn't have to be for carry. she holds the gun too high, got slide bite from my shield 40. Not perfect for everybody, just her is the goal.

Its probably a moot point. Just thought I'd try.

    If striker fire wasn't on the list I'd say Sig P229....beavertail available..hi-cap..not "too" heavy..mid size..great reviews...(full disclosure: I have only shot P226)

Have you looked at Kahr? Specifically the P9 or CW9. They look like they've got more of a lower grip than a S&W Shield or Glock, so it would be harder to get slide bite.

Yeah the striker fired requirement is a bit of a limiting factor... there's a lot of great 9s out there that use a hammer, especially if this isn't going to be a carry gun. Sigs come to mind, along with HKs, and of course the Browning Hi-Power. The BHP is my favorite out of the bunch. Classic gun, joy to shoot.

Two that come to mind that meet your requirements are the M&P9 and the Walther PPQ 9mm. But of the two, I prefer the PPQ. It has an amazing trigger. It's very crisp with a super short reset. I let my wife try it out and she's deadly accurate with it. And I can consistently shoot 15 round 1 inch groups with it at 7 yds. Do your own research on the PPQ, then you'll want to go pick one up too.
