Anyone hear of this one? Seems like a GREAT idea long past due!

    "Introduced in House (12/03/2019)
Home Defense and Competitive Shooting Act of 2019

This bill removes short-barreled rifles (barrels of less than 16 inches in length) from the definition of firearms for purposes of the National Firearms Act. It also eliminates the prohibition on the transportation of such rifles in interstate commerce and treats persons who acquire or possess a short-barreled rifle as meeting the registration or licensing requirements for such rifle where such requirements are determined by reference to the National Firearms Act.

The bill preempts state or local laws that impose a tax or recordkeeping requirements on short-barreled rifles.

The Department of Justice must destroy records relating to the registration of certain rifles within one year after the enactment of this bill."

Id like to be optimistic but recalling the Bills on suppressors and universal carry, I doubt it will get to the Floor of the House or Senate with tge currently seated politicians.

Replacing socialist politicians is the key to this mess, but they have the Let me help you with your free shit crowd ,firmly in their pocket . If a person is dumb enough to believe that The top 1 percent can be forced to pay for all Bernie Sanders free stuff then he sounds like a great president. The working class know better than to think that’s going to happen . The top 1 percent isn’t going to pay , the folks that draw a pay check are the ones that are going pay.

Bill fails based upon its name alone. Should be titled something like: At Risk Family Protection Act
