One year we had a ‘Merica shoot after thanksgiving and I stopped by Walmart and the pie pumpkins (softball size) were on sale for $0.10/each. I bought a shopping cart full.

They had pumpkins growing in there for over 5 years.

It was a lot of fun.

I spent a bunch of time working on making pumpkins blow up this year, without using tannerite. Finally settled on boring a hole in the top and filling the air space with water (incompressible - going for hydrostatic shock effect), and hitting it with a 400 grain blunt slug of lead out of my black powder muzzleloader (estimated around 1400fps)
