EFR stands for "Extended Focus Range". That means that this scope is made to focus all the way down to 10 meters - even when set on its highest magnification.

This is now also cross posted in 3 other places for $100 more. So there again will not hold more than 1 Hour after u call or text or PM and say on way or ill take it. From what i can tell this was over a $900 scope when new because of EFR.

what is the serial # of this vari-x III, so I can check its manufacture date.

are the adjustments friction controlled, or are they "click" segment adjusted ?
I have several vari-x models and have 2 with the EFR option.

EFR = adjustable objective lense

and the vari-x model was replaced by the modern VX model
quite a few years back.

variX- III discontinued in 2004, VX-III discontinued in 2009, VX3 is current model nomenclature. VariX-3 doesn't exist.
