Its not as bad as it used to be but it's still there. Lol. There is a brand new 2 story off America. Brick. Really nice. Makes you wonder why someone would build there. Maybe inherited the land? Who knows. Its the west side of Pensacola in gulf breeze.

Yeah the land is super cheap there as well as the homes. I've known a lot of people that have lived there and their cars were always being broken into, their sheds were being broken into, anything left outside not bolted down was stolen. Just a bunch of damn trash. That's what happens when you offer affordable housing in a nice area. The trash moves in, and it just makes the market and property values plummet. I feel bad for the folks that buy there not knowing what kind of area it is.

Its getting a little better in there. Any run down house or lot with a trailer is getting purchased by Flynn built. They are putting up nice little houses. Over the last few years they are making the neighborhood less hood
Lol. The last round of work I did in there was about 10 years ago. Same deal, but it was habitat hauling off the trailers. Sad thing is all those habitats now look like run down 30 year old homes that they replaced. I would not live in there if you gave me 5 acres. Apologies to the residents.

My particular neighborhood and most of those around me are good ones. But there is one based on trailors while it takes about ten minutes to drive to it, is a walkable trip through the creek bottom and there has been trouble from it. so if possible avoid living anywhere near run down areas. Such areas attract all sorts of criminals and even perverts.

I haven't been back in there (America Ave) for several years. It's good to know it's not as bad as it was.

I noticed clearing of the wooded area on Hwy 399/East Bay Blvd, across from the Melissa Oaks subdivision, between Hwy 98 and that first sharp curve that goes along the bay. Looks like there might be a new subdivision going in...does anyone know anything about it?
