So I traded for a nearly new FNX. (Thanks John!) I was doing a shot for shot comparison/competition with my M&P45. When my son noted the ejection patterns were vastly different. The M&P would really sling the spent shells. But the FNX were all in a pile beside me on my right. When I watched my son shoot the FNX, it looked like the spent shells were barely ejecting. Some went straight back and hit my son, then he had a stove pipe. I instructed him to tighten his grip. But still had same poor ejection. I only tried 1 type of ammo federal maroon box. But the M&P ate them just fine. Could this be a break-in issue? I took it apart tonight and everything looks fine. I'll lube it up good and try some different ammo. But I doubt that it's the ammo. The FNX also has a red dot that came on it when I got it. Any ideas or advice?
