I know there are some scams online, and with Florida Gun Trader also.
How would one go about checking on a seller? There is a M1 A that I see on there, it is in Carmount Fla, guy called me back and seems legit but one never knows. I just wonder if there was some rating system on FGT but don't see one. Sending money on Gun Broker seems a little safer, but without any broker I guess it is a gamble. Anyone have any bad press on FGT in general? I wont have any recorse either I guess if I never recieve a gun ?

No not really, each seller and what they are selling stand on their own. I sell a lot on Armslist and only do local deals unless it is through a FFL.

There are a lot of scammers on FGT. Seems like most of them involve Pythons and other high dollar guns. One tip-off is a lot of times the town listed isn't even in Florida.
One thing I have done in the past if I'm suspicious is tell the guy I have a friend that lives close by and ask if he could come look at it. See what he says to that.
