Sometimes I find something on the range that makes me think.
I like to save them, just for fun.
I think I've found the definition of Flat Primer...

I do believe that his gun/ammo has a quite severe headspace problem. I wonder if it was fired in a 9mm Para. OUCH !! --- SAWMAN

Good grief! What range do you go to? Every now and then I run across a case with a slightly spit neck, but nothing near like those you pictured.

I've been collecting them for a while.
Most came from the old ERML range.
A few from Pensacola Rifle & Pistol.
Two at the top came from a house fire.
The Whisper case is the only one I was present for.

It started when I became a firearms instructor. I wanted some things to show students. Teach them to pay attention at the range.

    The trends are,
Wrong ammo for chamber. As in .32 in .380.
Over pressure in combination with a chamber not fully supported.
    Out of battery ignition.

And this is the reason why I count myself blessed that I have my own range. Way too many new shooters making way too many mistakes.
