non-snagging external hammer, but no manual safety on the military gun to allow safe carry cocked and locked. This pistol have likely killed more people than any other model of pistol. Military loads are closed to 1500 fps second with a 85 grain bullet in 7.62x25 fmj. Very thin and concealable.

for concealed carry, if the hammer has an exposed spur, than that is a point against it relative catching on clothing. Also more places for debris to cause problems.

Pro: A single action exposed hammer design can often be setup with a superior trigger.

For pocket carry many oldtimers like this:

Hammer snagging is not an issue in a proper holster.
There is no reason not to use a proper holster.
I would not carry any gun in my pocket without a proper holster.

It really depends on how you carry and your clothing. I carry appendix inside the waste band. If you pocket carry it can be more of an issue.

May I ask why you chose appendix, FS?
That would be the best place for my body type but I am a bit scared.
It is common mode of carry by many. I learned if from the fellow below.
Here is one of its proponents and what is important to me is that he has killed a reasonable of hoodlums on streets in California when he was a cop in the general LA metro area. Sort of like the Harry Callahan character he got in trouble with his superiors for the killings and his attitude. Actually he has offended quite few people including one of the moderators here that used to work for him at one time.

I liked his common sense approach.
    I also like the 2 o'clock position.
But if I am going to wear the shirt outside then maybe I want an OWB.

Inside position has the belt pushing the gun inward. A female body is obviously different from a males and maybe it will work for you.

He is being a little too cavalier with the reholstering of the glock. I have a safety device from tau that I used to immobilize the striker of my glock when I reholster incase something gets caught in the trigger guard that might pull the trigger.
