We used a 1946 Farmall H with a front end loader around our place until we moved back in 2013, pushed snow, pulled trees, cut hay, pulled wagons, planting - you name it, it did it, that H was a Swiss army tractor.
Husband and I are planning Togo from Salt Life Farm life.
The goal is as much self-sufficiency as possible.

I really prefer these tractors to modern ones. Aside from being beautiful it is far easier to repair and even rebuild.

I was amazed how the farmer in the video restored one of them to looking brand new.
And I bet the quality is as you said!

They have personality and character and are IMO hands down better than the new stuff - no computers to go bad, it's you and the machine.

Forgiving and surprisingly strong, to use an old phrase, they built them to last and knew what they were doing.

( I have not found one in NW Florida yet )

There use to be one north-northeast of Ponce DeLeon in Holmes county. It might have a Westville,Fl. address. It’s been a few years since I was over that way so I don’t know if they are still in operation

This guy is a ltrue Floridian: says his family has been in Florida since the 1800s.
Best video I have seen about chickens and animal advice in general and if you wan to streach it does apply to how most boomers raised their children, too.
