These are definitely ugly, but I guess I can admire the ingenuity behind them. The whole point of the CA and NY laws is to keep "dangerous" looking guns out of honest citizens' hands. I read some article from the 1990s that featured Diane Feinstein (I believe) complaining about how gun manufacturers were trying to skirt the law by removing pistol grips and making other cosmetic changes to so-called "assault weapons." WELL DUH, what do you expect when you pass a bunch of laws prohibiting largely cosmetic features?
