Where abouts? I was stationed at Little Rock, stopped through Stuttgart which is the world capitol of duck hunting from what I know, we were towing one of the cars back from running at Memphis and stopped at a gas station off of I40, met the Duck Dynasty guys there, talked with them for a little bit.

Our farm is just off Hwy 412 between Paragould and Walnut Ridge, on the Cache River. I usually go opening week and hunt a few days. Then I return when the big push of ducks show up. My brother and our hunting buddies keep me posted on the ducks. I will drop everything and go to Arkansas when the ducks show up like this. If you have never seen Mallards dropping through the timber….we’ll all I can say is I’m sorry for ya. It is an incredible sight and sound.

As long as were talking adoption… 67-year-old soldier is available. I can reload, clean birds, and keep your weapons functional. Available and short notice… LOL

I’ve been duck hunting for over 50 years.
When we were young we practiced duck calling almost year round. I don’t know how my mother put up with us. There was a large group of men that had big blinds scattered all over the St. Francis river on the Arkansas Missouri state line. My brothers and I were welcome in any blind we wanted to hunt. We mostly hunted my fathers blind. But sometimes the ducks just didn’t want to come in there and we would move up or down river.
Whenever we got into a blind most of the men in there would put their callers in their pocket.
I still blow one of those old calls, just cannot seem to make the new ones sound like a duck.
I probly have 30 or more duck calls, just a couple that I use.
Most people don’t know that more ducks whistle than quack.
The hen mallard is the real quacker. A drake mallard cannot quack.
He makes what we call a scrape. It can be imitated with a whistle.

No need for adoption. But, if you need a new best friend I am middle aged and only miss half of the shots I take. Also, I will need to borrow your boat and maybe a few shells.
