My Direct TV has been out since Sunday.
Called, waited over an hour and was told of "A network issue" effecting multiple States in South East US.

Is anyone else here experiencing this lack of service?

Tried Direct TV once and never again for this very reasoon. Not sure where you're located but I switched to internet TV and have never looked back! Stuck with Cox cable for internet now but waiting for Verizon 5G or Fiber internet to get installed in my area to reduce cost for better service.

We had several channels (including local channels) that were out yesterday, but they were all back this morning. We did not miss a whole lot except for watching the news on WEARTV last night.

Yeah Capt., I see where I got mine back, too, now.
Tell ya ATT Direct TV customer service really stinks!
Call them, waited over an hour, all they said was sorry and gave me a $10 credit.

Not related to the current difficulties, but I had Direct TV years ago. Service went out just about every time anyone said "RAIN' out loud. I switched to AT&T U-Verse, which I've enjoyed, but since they bought Direct TV, they want to 'save me money' by switching....it's crazy.

Like others, bought a DTV system years ago. After reading through the setup requirements, and all the other #$%^ I'd have to find/buy/install, I closed the box and returned it. CS rep's reaction was, "yeah, we get this all the time."

Streaming, and DVDs of the stuff we REALLY like, for me. Yes, I do understand not everyone has semi-reliable/functional Internet.

We stream a lot of channels but also get about 36 local digital over the air channels from a $30 Walmart indoor digital TV antenna. It was nice after the hurricanes still being able to get quite a few channels even when the internet or cable was down.
