Great gun here folks. Bought one in 1993 and had it until just a couple of years ago. Killed bear,moose,deer,and a couple of unfortunate coyotes with it. Easy to load for. Will eat anything. Loves hot loads.(No soft lead because of the gas action)
You 44mag hunters out there. These guns are as accurate as most all 44 revos. Holds more ammo and faster reloads also. Heavy ... yep .... but all hunting 44's are (or should be).
The recoil of the DE's are not like a revo either. IMO somewhat lighter with less bbl whip. Especially if you compare a single action 44 to this gun.
