I read the link and still to much of he or she swears is true.
The director of the WIV, Wang Yanyi, told China Central Television last weekend that the new coronavirus is genetically different from any kind of live virus that has been studied at the institute. Prior to that, WIV virologist Shi Zhengli — who collects, samples, and studies coronaviruses in Chinese bats — told Scientific American that she cross-referenced the new coronavirus' genome with the genetic information of other bat coronaviruses her team had collected. They didn't find a match.

If the Chinese lips are moving....... However, I do agree WuFlu didn't originate at the wet market. Still no definitive origin (natural or man made) and how it jumped species OR infected humans for the first time. It doesn't match the bat a 77% and a match of 99% for the pangolin with the mandatory ACE2 Receptor Binding Ability. Yet, no species in nature hasbeen found to match 100%. This begs the question of how these two species virus strains merged? In Labs its done by the extremely dangerous process ob making a "Chimera" by combining two viruses. More often than not the initial conclusion is the correct answer. The possibility of a man-made Chimera source combined with the documented violations of Wuhan Labs protocols, safety, training is far more likely that finding a WuFlu Unicorn source. IMHO, VMMV.

Great. Now all of those "peaceful protestors" can go home because George Floyd obviously died of COVID-19. It attacks the lungs, and he said he couldn't breathe. Done.

Wel, well, well: Recall when President Trump first mentioned a drug that was very promising in the WuFlu fight and he was actually taking it! Media just condemned it week after week, a couple old folks digested fish tank cleaner with a close ingredient and one died, then came a Chicago company: Surgisphere Corp observational study of nearly 100,000 patients published on May 22 in the Lancet that tied the malaria drugs hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to a higher risk of death in hospitalized patients with the virus.

Based on that "Study" several countries and organizations quit research into those twp potential meds and of course Trump continues to get crap for suggesting them.

The Study has not held up under any standard of scrutiny and is now (after damaging delays and cancellations of research) BEING RETRACTED and those prestigious organizations that endorsed it are back peddling. I guess that happens when a Science fiction writer and porn guy work the study. Lol, but true!

Now the credible researchers need to start over and WHO and other Nations will need reevaluate their negative positions on those drugs as the basis for that just crumbled.

The Study and endorsements are being retracted but don't hold your breath for the media and political talking heads to retract their anti trump bashing on this topic.

I will keep my eye on Science and see if they comment on this development. I should get a new issue on my computer very soon.
I really hate it when politics gets into science. The two are not compatible.

Beside covid 19 there are still other things out there.
    Congo tallies new Ebola cases
    Infectious diseases
An apparently new Ebola outbreak has surfaced in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), just as the country was close to declaring the disease under control. On 1 June, the DRC's Ministry of Health said eight people in Mbandaka, a city in Équateur province, had hemorrhagic fever and four had died. Blood samples in three of the cases tested positive for the virus. In 2018, the same region quelled an Ebola outbreak that lasted 3 months. No evidence suggests this new outbreak is linked to another, ongoing one in the DRC's North Kivu province, 1000 kilometers away, that began just as the 2018 Équateur outbreak ended. North Kivu has not recorded a new case for 3 weeks. Ebola virus regularly jumps from animals to humans, and this is the DRC's 11th recorded outbreak
