    Quick question.
I have a BCM compensator mod 0 and taking it off one rifle and installing it on another. When i screw it on with a crush washer it gets hand tight with 3/4 of a turn left to get it in the right position. I have it almost there but i am really having to put alotta pressure on it to get it to turn anymore.
My question is can put too much pressure on it or should i just crank it till it gets in position?
    Thanks
    Brian

Studies have shown that an "over tightened" muzzle device tends to degrade accuracy somewhat.
What I do - - -> get a piece if fairly fine grit aluminum oxide sandpaper. Lay it on a FLAT surface. Rub the crush washer and/or the muzzle device itself on the sandpaper to slowly cut away the device.
Maintain the "flatness" of the device and/or washer on the paper.
Try for proper "indexing or clocking" OFTEN. If you initially come around to 45 it will not take alot to get it to 12.
Check, often. You DO NOT want to go past 12. --- SAWMAN

What sawman said, also are you using a new crush washer? Don’t use old ones as the are already crushed. If it’s a new one you can also crush the washer, loosen then crush more then loosen and crush again until it’s timed right. They are cheap buy a few and try multiple ones, but they are crush washers, so crushing them is what they are meant to do.
