Very nice and collectible! If you take the grips off that will indicate you what generation it is. If it has a long rounded grip frame 30's-early 60's. Short frame square frame is late 60's-mid 70's. My wife has a 1973 model Cobra (short square frame) unfortunately the previous owner refinished it with Cerakote. But it is a great shooter! BTW, don't shoot any +P ammo in those due to the alloy frame. There is an article on them in the American Rifleman June issue. Good luck!

That's awesome! I love to see one so complete. You can go to Colts website and enter serial number to see mfg date. If the box is original it will have the serial number handwritten on the bottom. It shows rings on the ejector rod which indicates its been shot a good bit or at least loaded/unloaded a lot but still looks great! The alloy frame is a painted finish and often times doesn't wear well. Great gun!
