Chicago P.D. is (was) my favorite show on television.
I watch it because the police win, sometimes by stretching the rules but they are right in doing so because the criminals get what’s coming to them. If you don’t agree that’s fine, I really don’t care.
Last night was the season opener and it sucked. It’s becoming PC with all the “woke” folks turning against Hank making him look like a dinosaur.
I’ve got a feeling this will be their last season, for me anyway.

Dang I missed it. You know they are always coming after Hank, but he seems to win in the end, maybe this time also?? Personally , Id leave that man alone. I'd hate to be on the wrong side of him snapped . Although I imagine in Real Chicago he would have had a bullet with his name on it by now.

The difference is now his own people are turning against him.
Last night he told Adam and Kevin to put a thug in the cage and they told him “We can’t do that. Those days are over.”
I just don’t see how it’s gonna be as good as it used to be.

I have a little different take. There's a lot of moving parts. I hope it's not over. Yes, they wear masks. It's part of keeping it real. Adam and Kevin are partners. They have each others backs, understandable. There has to be trust between them in order to do that. So yes, Adam is going to take Kevin's side, emotionally. But Adam is 100% with Voight. Voight won't hold it against Adam. I hope this is not the last season. But it might be Kevin's last season. Character leads like Erin, Alvin, Antonio are no longer there and others. I won't be surprised if Kevin's part is written out. Voight is not PC. He will still do things his way and get the job done. He may adjust to take the shine off himself, but he won't change. The cage may be out. Something else will take it's place for Voight.

Night time soap operas. It seems like the networks that hate the police so much are making big money on cop shows.

Things are definitely changing. On another forum I was reading a thread on using the sap. The police all said that today they plain not could not use one and it is not smart for a civilian to use one either.

This week was better.
I like the way it ended with Kevin standing up to that jerk and turning the table on him.
I really miss Al. He was great.
