hi all, i'm looking for a small block chevy 327 engine or block, specifically, the early version with the oil fill in the front of the intake, closed valve covers and crankcase vent at the back of the block. if you have one or know someone that does or have any leads i'd love to hear from you. thanks.

It's hard to not go LS with the simplicity and power they offer. 327 blocks were hard to source 10 years ago. I'll ask a few friends for you.

yup, lightweight, easy to find, cheap, and great support. my hot rod friends tell me i'm insane for not going LS or at least buying an off the shelf SB 350 crate motor. but i want that old school look.
