buying 870

Thinking of buying buddies 20year old 870 in full camo for turkey. Don't remember if it shoots 3in or 3 1/2. I offered him 200 for it. Is that to much or a good deal?

They are built like tanks IMO, good deal especially if it has chokes.

Probably a decent price. Note that there are different 870s. The Express model is their low end. The Wingmaster is a higher end model. Both come in standard or magnum versions.

Any 870 is worth $200 IMO. Parts are cheap if it needs rebuilt.

Bought it. Came with rifled slug choke, mod, full,improved cylinder and sights for shooting slugs. It's a 3in magnum special purpose is what it says on the side. And four boxes of slugs. Iam assuming it was a good deal for me?

Yes good deal, been shooting a mossburg mark 5 semiauto for a lot of years, an also have an old mod. 500 3-inch mag pump with the polychoke , have had no problems at all. Keep um clean an go hunt!!!!
